Exterior caulking work can be completed at any time of the year; however, spring to fall is the recommended time for completion as that is when the weather is kinder to both the applicator and the sealant.
The caulking mechanic can get uncomfortable in both the cold of winter and the high heat of the summer. The materials act in the same manner, making them more difficult to apply in these extremes.
Beverly Caulking has been applying exterior caulking 12 months of the year for the past 62 years. In that period of time, we have never had a problem with an application that can be attributed to the weather. Everything we do is guaranteed and we are not going to do anything that we do not fully expect to perform in an expected manner.
Interior caulking can be done anytime during the year, but we will always give consideration to variables that affect the timing of the application.
All joints to receive caulking have to be clean and dry and properly prepared in order to ensure that the end product is what you would hope for.
