THE BEVERLY DIFFERENCE
Caulking is an art form. And like any art, it takes years of dedication, experience and a solid process to become experts in the field. Our process is built on mentorship, training, experience & safety.
Mentorship
All Beverly Caulkers have worked with a mentor to learn how to apply sealants in a variety of settings and on an extensive range of surfaces. An experienced caulker will always be matched with our up and coming trainees, to guide and teach about substrates, materials and best practices.
Experience
We have enjoyed a lifetime of experience at Beverly Caulking with many of our individual caulkers with 10, 20 and some over 30 years experience in the field. Our work has taken us from apartment buildings to skyscrapers to water sewage treatment plants – all industries and a complex array of applications. There is no man made surface we have not caulked or have the ability to seal.
Training
Skill development begins with removal of aged caulking and replacement with new sealant in remedial construction for commercial, industrial and residential environments. Next, understanding the differences between interior and exterior caulking to new joints, around window frames, door frames, control joints, mill work and other gaps. And finally, the caulker will learn the unique applications of Fire Stop Systems, critical to safety and efficiency in a variety of settings.
Safety
All Beverly Caulkers have learned and implement Safety Protocol as set out in each and every project scope. Training includes Workplace Hazardous Material Information Systems (WHIMIS), Working at Heights training and Ministry of Labour Worker Awareness training.
THE HISTORY OF
BEVERLY CAULKING
A letter from the founders
Not many people grow up dreaming that one day they are going to be a caulker.
It is not romantic. It can be dirty, uncomfortable work. Cold in the winter. Hot in the summer. Scary at times. Hanging around 300 feet in the air on a windy day is not everyone’s idea of a good time.
However, we at Beverly Caulking, take what we do very seriously. We have always believed caulking is a critical part of the industry, and as a result, being a Beverly Caulker is something of merit. Caulking to us, is not merely a trade. It is an art.
After more than 60 years, Beverly Caulking has grown from a small, regional Caulking Company to one of Canada’s most recognized Caulking Contractors.
We caulked the Penstocks at the Sir Adam Beck Generating Station in the Niagara Gorge, the Nuclear Power Plants in the Bruce Peninsula, Atikokan and Pickering.
We have caulked almost every Sewage Treatment Plant on the shores of Lakes Ontario and Erie. From The “Skydome” to commercial towers in Alberta and Nova Scotia, we have caulked the equivalent of a twenty storey building every 2.5 days.
We have caulked enough houses, townhouses and apartment buildings to house the entire City of Hamilton.
We can proudly say we have worked on every type of construction produced by man.
There is no question that our history, our determination and our experience has driven us to be the successful company we are today.

A New Era
As one era ends, a new one begins. Beverly Caulking has transitioned to the next generation, with a new home in Burlington, Ontario, and new leaders at the helm. The enthusiasm and revitalized energy is palpable. It has been a dream come true, as the founders, seeing our legacy live on.
Scott Wallace is our new President and CEO. His early years were dedicated to understanding and analyzing Beverly’s current context to explore new opportunities for growth. Scott’s strength is innovation – challenging the status quo and solving real problems, which he was known for in his previous business pursuits. Scott continues to revitalize the Beverly structure: incorporating new systems and protocol to expand our capabilities and foster an even stronger competitive advantage.
Allen and I are inspired by the transition. We are both still part of the business, in advisory roles, and enjoying the view.
