Socks for Hope: 20,292 Pairs Collected for Those in Need
Socks for Hope, a community initiative that has made a significant impact in the Hamilton and Halton regions, recently celebrated its 11th season. The campaign aimed to collect 20,000 pairs of new socks for individuals facing hardship. Thanks to the incredible support of volunteers, local businesses, schools, churches, and first responders, the community surpassed its goal, collecting an impressive 20,292 pairs of socks!
This annual initiative continues to touch thousands of lives, providing warmth and comfort to those in need. The overwhelming generosity of the Hamilton and Halton communities demonstrates the power of coming together to support individuals experiencing difficult times.
At Beverly, we are proud to serve as a Socks for Hope partner, providing funds for new crates to expand the initiative’s reach and impact, as well as storage and logistics to ensure that every pair of socks makes it to those in need. We were honoured to assist with the delivery of these socks to various organizations supporting vulnerable individuals in the Hamilton and Halton areas.
Festival of Lights: Shining Bright for Burlington
We were happy to once again be a Gold Sponsor for the Festival of Lights, a spectacular event that transforms Burlington’s waterfront into a winter wonderland.
From the installation to the take-down, our Beverly team gets involved every step of the way. It’s a fun and rewarding experience to help bring this community tradition to life, knowing how much it means to the families and visitors who enjoy the beautiful light displays each year. The Festival of Lights is a highlight of the season, and we love being part of such a joyful celebration!
Walk to the Lighthouse: Supporting Mental Health with Every Step
In 2024, we were proud to serve as the lead sponsor for the Walk to the Lighthouse, an event dedicated to supporting the redevelopment of the Mental Health and Addictions Department at Joseph Brant Hospital. The walk brought together participants to raise both awareness and funds for mental health care.
From walking in the event in previous years to now stepping up as a lead sponsor, it was truly an inspiring day. Our team came together, served JC’s Hot Bagels, and helped raise over $100,000 for this vital cause. The overwhelming support from the community was humbling, and it’s an honour to contribute to such a meaningful initiative that will have a lasting impact on mental health care in our region.
